Aircraft Museum in Deštná
In a museum in a former cinema building, a unique view of aviation unfolds in its two sections – the first focuses on the war period and shows lives of Czech war pilots, many awards and uniforms, models and fragment of war planes. Displays and documents in the second part, devoted to sports and military aviation from the period of the First Czechoslovak Republic until recent times, will grab your attention too. The museum also includes a unique Hall of Reverence with a large photograph of the largest Czech military graveyard in the UK and a list of all Czech pilots killed in action and soil from their graves.
