František Bílek, a renowned Czech Art Nouveau sculptor and artist, born in Chýnov, decided to build a house for him and his family here. The house situated in nature is graced with bountiful symbolical reliefs, and a spacious, bright atelier played a vital role there. If you want to see a few statues of František Bílek, visit the local graveyard where you'll see, among others, a 5m high statue of Bílek named "Prayer over Graves".
