Rock climbing

Several rock formations are scattered along the Lužnice River; you want to visit them for sure. The best options for rock climbing are in Modrý Lom and at Jelení Skok. Rocks named "Modrý lom" and "Jelení skok" in the Lužnice river valley in Tábor – granite, belaying – bolts, classification: - 3 to 8-. "Modrý lom" is located on the right bank of the river where the Geological Exhibition (towards the Harrachovka restaurant) is situated. "Jelení skok" is on the left bank of the river, on the red tourist trail (to Příběnice) - opposite Harrachovka (there is a footbridge 200m behind Harrachovka); other rock formations suitable for bouldering are along Lužnice (between Tábor and Bechyně).

Choustník – gneiss, belaying – bolts, rivets, classification: - 3 to 8-, behind Choustník Castle, follow the green tourist trail.

Bechyně – U Mamuta – gneiss, belaying – bolts, rivets, classification: - 3 to 9- (6), from Bechyně up the Lužnice River; 4 km to the Hutě village.
