Edvard Beneš Villa

At the outskirts of Sezimovo Ústí I, in the middle of a vast natural park one can admire the villa of Dr. Edvard Beneš, the second president of Czechoslovakia, who would often stay there and who also passed away there. In May 2005, the Dr. Edvard Beneš Memorial was set up in the park near the villa and commemorates the work of Beneš as a statesman, his democratic legacy as well as his family life. The park also conceals the Vault of the Beneš' family, which is freely accessible.

You will start the tour at the Edvard Beneš Memorial, then you will visit Beneš's villa itself. The tour of the villa takes place independently with the use of audio guides that will guide you both through the exterior (garden) and the interior of the villa. The last stop is the vault. You will then return to the Memorial and return the audio guide to the cashier.

You can buy tickets at the box office of the Edvard Beneš Memorial, where you will receive an audio guide for a refundable deposit of CZK 100. The last opportunity to buy a ticket will be 60 minutes before the end of the operating hours. Both the entrance fee and the deposit must be paid in cash. Access to the premises of Beneš's villa is not barrier-free.
