The building is used as a telecommunication tower and, simultaneously, as a lookout tower with two observation platforms – a glassed-in one (usually locked up) and an open-air one. The tower is situated above Krátošice and you can view a part of the Šumava mountain range, a part of Českomoravská vysočina (highlands), the Hýlačka lookout tower and Choustník Castle. A short way from the tower, you can visit the ruins of Choustník Castle; a beautiful view also unfolds from the castle.
